Lucicat is an e-book catalog system. It can be used to publish e-book catalogs on the Internet. It supports catalogs of the OPDS standard.
The main component of Lucicat is an application which runs on a web server and serves OPDS catalog feeds to clients. It also includes administration tools to create the catalog data.
Lucicat uses a MySQL database to store the catalog data in, and PHP to generate the catalog feeds.
Lucicat is developed by Ordbrand.
Here are two examples of Lucicat catalogs. They can be accessed with OPDS-capable reading systems like Lucidor and Lucifox. There are also web interfaces for the catalogs, so that they can be browsed with ordinary web browsers.
The first example is a large catalog of the books from Project Gutenberg. The OPDS catalog is available here and the web interface is available here. “Project Gutenberg” is a registered trademark. This catalog is not endorsed by Project Gutenberg or the Project Gutenberg Literary Archive Foundation in any way.
The second example is a small catalog. The OPDS catalog is available here and the web interface is available here.
