The deb package is suitable for Ubuntu and other Debian based GNU/Linux distributions.

The RPM package is suitable for Fedora, openSUSE, Mandriva and other RPM based GNU/Linux distributions.
The deb and RPM packages are the preferred way to install Lucidor on GNU/Linux systems. Alternatively it is also possible to use the zip package.
To install the deb package you should double-click on the package file in the file manager. Alternatively you can install it with gdebi or dpkg in a terminal window.
When Lucidor is installed with the deb package then it can be started from the applications menu or with the command lucidor.
To install the RPM package you should double-click on the package file in the file manager. Alternatively you can install it with rpm in a terminal window.
Note that to make the RPM package more portable, it is built without any explicit dependencies. You must make sure that either Firefox or XULRunner is installed. See “Requirements” below. On most distributions the XULRunner package it is called xulrunner, but on openSUSE it is called mozilla-xulrunner191.
When Lucidor is installed with the RPM package then it can be started from the applications menu or with the command lucidor.
It is not necessary to perform any special installation procedure to run Lucidor from the zip package. Just decompress the zip package somewhere to your hard disk.
Before you can run Lucidor, however, you must make sure that either Firefox or XULRunner is installed. See “Requirements” below.
When Lucidor is run from the zip package there will not be any menu entry to start it. On GNU/Linux you can double-click on the file lucidor.sh from the zip package to run Lucidor.
Mac OS X disk image: lucidor-0.9-1.dmg (2.0 MiB) (MD5 checksum: c991b7a7abb7188185c5f5a6981abb42)
The disk image is the preferred way to install Lucidor on Mac OS X.
To install Lucidor on Mac OS X do the following:
Double-click on the dmg file to open it.
Drag the Lucidor icon to the Applications folder.
Before you can run Lucidor, you must make sure that XULRunner is installed. See “Requirements” below.
When Lucidor has been installed on Mac OS X then it can be started by clicking on Lucidor in the Applications folder.
Note that Lucidor has not been extensively tested on Mac OS X, and there may still be OS specific problems. Feedback about how good it works is welcome. One reported issue is that the Preferences window can not be closed using the mouse. A workaround for this is to press Command+W to close the window.

The Windows Installer package is the preferred way to install Lucidor on Windows. Alternatively it is also possible to use the zip package.
To install the Windows Installer package you should double-click on the msi file and follow the instructions.
Before you can run Lucidor you must make sure that either Firefox or XULRunner is installed. See “Requirements” below.
When Lucidor is installed with the Windows Installer package then it can be started from the applications menu.
If you don't want to install the Windows Installer package, it is also possible to run Lucidor from the zip package.

The zip package is suitable for the GNU/Linux and Windows platforms.
Source package: lucidor_0.9.tar.gz (1.3 MiB) (MD5 checksum: 3c48b93cd0fb23f3a0c8e02686cae317)
The source package contains the full source code, and is used to create the other packages. You only need this package if you intend to make modifications or build custom packages of Lucidor.
On Windows and GNU/Linux Lucidor requires that either Firefox (versions 3-3.6) or XULRunner (versions 1.9-1.9.2) is installed before the program can be run. Firefox is the recommended choice.
On Mac OS X XULRunner is required.
